Hi, I’m Sarah. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Forrest Counseling & Consulting LLC, where I provide in-person therapy in the South Hills of Pittsburgh and virtual therapy throughout Pennsylvania. Over the past several years, I’ve worked in both Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient (OP) settings, specializing in reproductive and perinatal mental health. I support individuals 18+ navigating infertility, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, anxiety, depression, and women’s issues. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from PennWest University and my Master of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. I also hold a Certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) from Postpartum Support International. My education and specialized training reflect my deep commitment to supporting people during the reproductive years with evidence-based, compassionate care. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I draw from approaches like DBT and ACT, but I also believe therapy should feel like a real conversation, not a clinical checklist. My goal is to offer a space where you feel supported, understood, and accepted. Together, we’ll work toward helping you move through life in a way that feels more authentic and aligned with your values. Outside of my clinical work, I’m also a mom to two autistic young adults. Parenting through the challenges and joys of neurodivergence has taught me so much about flexibility, advocacy, and the importance of truly being seen. That experience deeply informs how I show up in the therapy room, especially when working with other parents, caregivers, or neurodivergent clients.
